The viral K-beauty label has just launched the PDRN Pink Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cream as the newest addition to this range, filling the much needed gap of a daily moisturizer used to replenish and seal hydration into the skin. Is it worth your money, time and attention? Let’s take a deep dive into it.

Formula: right in its name, you’ll be able to identify this cream’s key ingredients – PDRN and Hyaluronic Acid. The former is the buzziest ingredient as of late, derived from Salmon DNA and known to improve skin texture, hydration levels and speed up wound healing; on the other hand the latter is a time-tested one that’s no less impressive, offering benefits such as reducing the appearance of wrinkles, repairing damaged skin and maintaining long-term hydration.

Joining these key ingredients are Niacinamide, Ceramides and Peptide, all working hand-in-hand to erase any skin blemishes and keep the complexion plumped.

Texture and finish: there’s a nice cushiness to this cream when you first apply it to the skin, and it blends out to an instantly hydrating sensation. It doesn’t take long for it to absorb into the skin, leaving a glowy sheen sans stickiness or greasiness. After fully sinking it, the skin feels soft and supple and visibly appears nourished.

Packaging: coming in a sleek pink tube that fits in with the rest of its family, it’s fuss-free and lets you squeeze out the perfect amount of cream for each use. The compact size is also great for if you’re taking this out and about or on holiday. It’s nothing fancy but it’s just right.

Other things to note: the cream does have a slight floral fragrance to it that other items in this PDRN line share. If you’re highly sensitive to fragrances, this might not be the cream for you; however fragrance is listed as third last on its ingredients list, so if your skin is a bit more resilient you can consider giving it a shot.

If it wasn’t obvious already, this cream is not vegan-friendly as it does utilize a Salmon-derived component – vegan beauty users beware!

Editor’s POV: this cream is great for my resilient dry skin, ingredients-wise and with the effects that I see after using it. It’s a formula I’d use during my night routine, but as the temps and humidity drop, I can definitely see myself reaching for it in the AM before going in with sunscreen.
